In the latter, all the exposed cards are already on the table. A player of Texas Hold'em need not memorize the cards that have been folded.

The game of Texas Hold'em involves a steeper competition than the Seven-Card Stud. This is because the five exposed cards on the table will be shared by all the players. This means that whatever hand will be formed by one player will have a value which is quite close to the hand that will be formed by his opponent. Depending on the strategy of the player, either of these hands can take the pot.
