On September 30th 2006, the US Senate passed "The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006" which is attempting to make it a federal crime for US banks to transfer your funds to online casinos, online poker rooms, and online bingo. They did this in the most underhanded and detestable manner possible: they snuck it in on the "Safe Ports Act", which has absolutely nothing to do with online gaming. FBI seems to be poking its head everywhere these days. Online Gaming industry will suffer a major blow due to monopoly of U.S Govt.
The websites related to gambling poker were already banned and now govt is tightening its noose around several non-gambling related portals. They are also planning to impose aban on Offshore gambling related website. :pale:
